The essence of our mission is to give you the listener positive energy through recordings, performances, education, and cross cultural exchange. This is rooted in Benoir's beliefs of Tikkun Olam, Mahayana Boddhisatvas, and the Native American concept that we are but stewards of our mother earth, and not owners of it.

MUSICNOIR was created by guitarist/composer BENOIR, in order to promote his own musical projects, as well as independent artists whom he is closely affiliated with. Events are always posted and up to date with individual links to specific projects and albums that are also hosted on myspace and cdbaby. Two CD's are professionally reproduced and available - the Noirkestra: PSI-FI-HI, and Dub Affair: Caribe. Other work for sale in the discography can either be found at the individual artists' websites like Pharaoh's Daughter, or special ordered here directly from the head elf Benoir, who will make you the work desired and sign it for you. Favorite CD's of this nature are Sauce on the Side, Solonoir, Trio_noir, Benoir Live!, and Samsara NYC.

LESSONS

Benoir has developed his own method of instruction entitled the MUSICNOIR METHOD. He has received awards and accolades for his teaching (see bio), and his students have performed in venues such as: Joe' Pub @ the Public Theater, the Knitting Factory, NASDAQ, Barnes & Nobles, Queens Theater in the Park, Mayor Bloomberg's office, the Department of Youth & Community Development Private Events, Columbia University, and the United Nations.

Lessons are either at student homes or at STUDIO NOIR in Long Beach, New York. A quick ride by train from PENN Station. During the summer, you can also take advantage of the beach location and enjoy some alone time and sun before heading home!
